WONGOSOL is implementing the Gender Transformative Action Coalition Project, “Stronger Together,” as part of a feminist coalition supported by the BMZ (Germany - Federal Ministry for Cooperation and Development) through medica mondiale. The initiative brings together medica Liberia, WONGOSOL, Liberia Feminist Forum, RAYWOM and Sister 4 Sisters. It seeks to strengthen a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable women’s rights movement capable of influencing structural, political and social change toward greater gender equality in Liberia.
Working alongside other feminist and women-led organizations, WONGOSOL contributes to strengthening collaboration, solidarity and collective action across generations and diverse groups of women. The project creates opportunities for women’s rights actors to build their capacities, exchange knowledge and experiences, develop joint advocacy priorities, and amplify the voices of women and girls in national decision-making processes.
Through feminist advocacy, movement-building, policy engagement and public awareness, the project addresses structural inequalities and discriminatory practices while promoting women’s rights, leadership and meaningful participation.
Ultimately, “Stronger Together” seeks to build a stronger and more connected feminist movement that can collectively influence policies, institutions and social norms and advance lasting gender-transformative change in Liberia.
